Msg from Phil one of the directors of the St Helens Best Me CIC.
It’s been an amazing year for us, we started our mission before the CIC was created in February and I joined later on to support the mission.
Even though the year has been the most challenging in living memory due to the ongoing pandemic, these challenges have presented there own unique opportunities.
We have filled in the gaps, thanks to volunteer's who have gone above and beyond, working around the pandemic constraints and tailoring the activities to suite.
Our Practitioners and volunteers will still be continuing with activities during the Christmas period supporting the community and working alongside our partners.
In my full time job, working for a major UK automotive manufacturer, I have had first hand experience watching the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic and seeing how it has effected manufacturering, and the knock on effect to the employees. It was a key objective of the Best Me CIC, to utilise our resources to ensure the funding we are given is supporting communities and citizens to live their lives as fully as possible; especially during these times. Focusing in particular on the pandemic specific issues.
It is very important to say a massive THANK YOU to all the volunteers & opganisations that have helped the St Helens CIC achive the many things it has during 2020.
